Exciting Changes and Big Adventures

DJCA Sidekick - Friday, July 06, 2012

We are now preparing to take on our next big adventure and we’ve made a few changes around the offices to ensure its success.  Here is an update of the recently improved nuts and bolts of DJCA and details of our next exciting mission.

1. We have brought in extra staff to give our hard working accountants and administrators more support and processing strength. You can check out their new staff profiles on our Meet DJCA page here.

2. We’ve continued to review our internal structures and are working hard on ensuring the most efficient processes and systems are in place to get the job done well.

3. To allow the right people to focus on what they do best, we have re-shuffled and created three new roles internally.

Dave Jessep will become our CEO. With a focus on strategy and managing the ‘Big Picture’, Dave will be taking a step back to guide the company’s adventures. It’s his job to ensure DJCA stays on the right track and provides consistently top notch service to all of our clients –wherever they may be.

Aaron Collins will take the reins as General Manager of our head office in Christchurch.  Manning the fort locally is important to us and Aaron is the perfect man for the job. Having been with the team since 2009, it’s his job to keep our clients happy, our staff relaxed and our office beers cold.

Sajeil Naiker will be taking over running the show in Auckland as General Manager too.   As our Latte loving team continues to develop in their exciting market, he’ll be the one steering the ship.   Maintaining our proactive services and efficient processes through the next busy phases will be the key to success in the big city.

4. And lastly...the Big Adventure:

Sidekick will be packing his winter cape and hitting the UK market in January.

Yep that’s right, we said it - The United Kingdom!  We’re expanding into London and our very talented BDM (and in-house Englishman) Ric Thorpe will be helping Sidekick make a splash over in his own back yard. With Xero’s impressive growth to date and a big gaping opportunity in the UK market we believe we’ve got the resources, the service and the passion to make it happen.  With everything on the Cloud already, all we’ll need is a few extra winter coats.

We’re pretty excited as this is going to be one hell of an adventure.  We’ll be running frequent updates from the other side of the world too, so keep an eye out for our progress Blogs.

If you have any questions, queries or comments in regards to these changes, please get in touch with one of the team.  You can leave your messages below or fire them through to sidekick@djca.co.nz and we’ll get back to you for a chat.
